How You Can Help Support Wetland and Wildlife Conservation in Canada

Wetlands are one of Canada’s greatest resources. Wetlands and their associated habitats provide a home to hundreds of wildlife species. They naturally clean the water we drink and use every day, and they help to reduce the impact of drought and flooding.

Canada is home to nearly 25 per cent of all the wetlands on Earth. While that may sound like a lot, the harsh reality is that Canada’s wetland habitats continue to vanish at an alarming rate. As much as 70 per cent of Canada’s original wetlands have been lost in some areas of the country.
